Responsibilities:
• Define test objectives, author cases, and document requirements.
• Perform server and client-side performance testing.
• Organize test activities
• Distribute test case creation between here and out overseas vendor.
• Review test cases or get them reviewed
• Navigate product issues to keep testing on track.
• Verify all assigned test areas are subjected to adequate levels of testing prior to
release.
• Ensure test environments are prepared and maintained.
• Verify all test cases are designed, reviewed and executed.
• Verify all bugs are logged and regressed.
• Assist other Testers with approach, deign, and technical issues.
• Track logged issues and produce appropriate metrics and weekly status reports.
• Ensure functional and specialized areas are documented in test plan and
associated documentation.
• Provide test documentation and reports to team management as necessary.
2. • Become a product expert. Apply that expertise to future feature designs, product
& service architecture, and methodologies for product development and service
delivery.
• Develop and maintain testing theory/methodologies expertise, based on industry
best practice and internal experience. Apply this knowledge to improve the
efficiency of the test group.
• May develop basic testing tools for internal use.
Position Education, Experience & Training required:
Requirements
• BSCS, BSEE, or equivalent years of work experience.
• 3+ years experience in Quality Assurance or related field
• 1+ years experience with automated testing tools preferred.
• Web applications experience preferred.
• Financial applications experience preferred.
Job Specific Specialized Knowledge & Skills:
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodology, tools, and
process.
• Consistent above-average testing, bug-finding, trouble-shooting,
and problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain an effective
follow up system to ensure timely and accurate handling of
information requests.
• SQL Skills required.
• Able to read, analyze, and interpret complex technical
documents.
• Knowledge of software as a service a bonus.
• Familiar with Jira, CVS, Java applications a bonus.
• Must be a good troubleshooter and problem solver.
• Must be knowledgeable of software development processes.
• Should be comfortable with environment setup for web
application testing. Experience with BEA Weblogic, various
browsers, and working within a virtual lan a bonus.
