  2. 2. My name is Jorge Rivera and I was born and raised in the small island of Puerto Rico. Growing up in Puerto Rico you either play baseball or basketball. The rich culture also involves music which is something that shaped me up as a kid. I ultimately decided to play baseball and it became my passion. My parents explained to me that if I disciplined myself and stayed true to my passion I could earn a scholarship to play the game I loved. That is what I did. I dedicated myself to the game of baseball which earned me a scholarship to play Division 1 baseball. Throughout that process I fell in love with sports and the industry behind it. IDENTITY

PROFESSION Potential Job Titles: • Broadcast Announcer • News Analyst, Reporter • Executive Producer SAGE BRAND ARCHETYPE – By obtaining the knowledge through research and self reflection, I can observe sports from a different lens that the casual fan would. Therefore, I can teach and understand how the different aspects of sports affect the audience which gives them, in some cases, many different opinions.   5. 5. GOALS Short Term: (Immediately After Graduation, 2024) • Establish myself as a content creator and producer at one of the big sports media companies. (ESPN, FOX Sports, Bleacher Report, The Ringer. ‣ I will grow my brand withing the sports media industry creating the best possible content while bringing in results. Increase social media following 20% by August, 2024. Mid Term: (2032) • Start my own production and media company. Create an emotional connection with a large audience. ‣ My brand will be known and revenue will increase 30% by December, 2032. Long Term: (2040) • Have my own sports media production company up and running. Doing business with other colleagues in order to grow sports in a safe and researched way for the youth in Puerto Rico. ‣ I will grow my philanthropic work in Puerto Rico by combining sports and culture in order to create a connection with the youth. My monetary investments to the kids will increase 40% by December, 2040.
