Active Minds, Inc.

510 Campus Chapters in 50 States! Mental health issues (from anxiety to depression and suicidal
thoughts) and self-medicating through opioid and other addictions are lowering America’s life
expectancy rates by a few years. From my work in mentoring, I know firsthand how isolated people are
feeling in the workforce and beyond( in a recent America’s Loneliness Epidemic Study 54% feel they
don’t have anyone they can speak to).
Action in Motion: We (Active Minds) are proudly working with 510 Major Universities, several
corporations and high schools to reduce the stigma of mental health issues in our country. Our strategic
plan is to grow to 1000 chapters in the next few years. Founded by dynamo social entrepreneur Alison
Malmon when she lost her older brother, she realized our young people often will reach out to their
peers before they reach out to their parents and families. Each college campus has a student led group,
each corporation is launching an interest group around mental health. National conference in DC and
more. Time to send silence packing! If you can help, let’s talk. Planning events in SoFLA, DC and NY.
