1. Period of learning new words
- Introduce English words and pronounce those correctly and clearly.
-Opening teaching material by PowerPoint used various styles such as pictures, videos, audios,
matching parts, meaning recognization and so on.
Appling the files from Next stop starter A, B.
-Finding out more songs on youtube. Those songs are simple, active and colorful, moreover,
students can dance with videos, sing along and make them excited such as Teacher Matt’s songs,
groups/kids dance and sing.
Song reference: Fun actions, what animals do you like, what can you do?, how’s the weather,
colors song, ( from Matt), baby shark, …
-Short cartoon film( 1-2 minutes) from ‘’English singing’’ channel/’’learn every time, anywhere’’.
1. Show pictures of new words then pronounce them.
2. Practice new words with matching part ( matching the meaning with the picture)
3. Check students’ memories for reacting: A Teacher says ‘’ phòng khách’’- students react‘’
Living room’’/ The teacher sits down- students say ‘’Living room’’ loudly.
4. Opening audio to practice listening. Students look at the screen, guess what audios saying, and
repeat those words both Vietnamese and English.
5. Each time, let 3 students who come to the board and check both speaking and listening skills.
Repeating pronounce, check students' reactions to new words about 2 or 3 times. The teacher
checks students’ stress/ pronounce words carefully. In special cases, checking and training every
sound of words for each student if they have a problem in pronounce any sound of those words.
6. Sing 2 songs relate to every topic. Sing a song at the beginning of the lesson and the rest one at
the end of the lesson.
7. Opening a short cartoon film and repeat new words while watching and give students questions
about topics, short sentences and words as well.
8. Teachers give students a speed competition: divide class in 3 groups, each group has to say
aloud the word that the teacher shows a picture. Or a teacher points each group then says a
Vietnamese word, students react that word in Engish quickly.

* Reviewing all new words
- A teacher sits down, shows a picture of the living room, and says ‘’living room’’ at the same
time. Students look at the picture and repeats and sit down the same to the teacher.

1. Mini-game: Puppet…Puppet
A teacher says any words in English, students action like that word.
2. The teacher's actions are similar to the word that students know. Students say the word aloud.
Ø Competing 3 groups in class, students are more enthusiastic and concentrate.
2. Mini-game: Tap on picture
A teacher spreads all flashcards that students learn, the teacher calls out 2 or 3 students for
competing.
The teacher says any word in English, students find out the flashcard then the teacher asks ‘’ what
is this? what are they?’’ or any questions related to the topic. Students answer questions.
Sometimes, a teacher speaks a word that has not, students have to use their action to imply that
word instead of speaking loudly.

3. Mini-game: Pick up…pick up
- A teacher spread all flashcard and let a student come to the board. The teacher says a word, the
student picks a picture and gives the teacher. The teacher asks the students any questions that
students learned before.
4. Mini-game: Give or keep
The teacher gives each student a flashcard then comes back to the board. The teacher says any
word loudly. If any student keeps any flashcard that match the word, the student goes to the board
and gives the teacher that flashcard. The teacher asks a question to check the student’s reaction
then shows the picture in order to ask a whole class one more time. All students answer the
teacher’s question.

2. Period of review lessons
- Mix both mini-games and review lessons
- Style activities: play mini-games in persons, groups or whole class.
- Teaching check speaking and listening skills for each group that has 3 students.
- Checking student’s reactions through:
• Pictures that show on the screen.
• Opening audio and guess words
• A teacher says a Vietnamese word, students react it in English.
Ø Purpose: Kids are more creative and react words faster.
In particular, a teacher speaks any word loudly then kids react that word by action and pronounce

The teacher opens a video about the topic that kids learn. The video has both pictures and music
in order to show on the screen.
Rule: The video is opened, students can dance and sing with the video together. When the teacher
pauses the video, students have to be ‘’iced’’( đóng băng) ( that means acting like the word on the
video) and answer what it is on the video that is being shown on the screen.
