Background Information
Pacitan Regency is located at the southwestern tip of
East Java Province. Geographically the location of the
city is bordered to the Indian Ocean, so there is a lot
of investment potential from various sectors. These
sectors include investments in tuna fisheries,
tourism, and others. The potential is supported by
existing government-owned port facilities, and
wonderful tourist destinations such as beaches,
caves, and karst mountains.
One of the government-owned ports that provide adequate
facilities for tuna fisheries investment is Tamperan Fishing Port.
Tuna one of the important Indonesian marine commodities, tuna is
ranked second in both export value and volume terms after shrimp,
almost 70 % Tamperan Fishing Port produce Tuna, Skipjack, and
Mackerel where the are mostly has high value for export
commodities. Data from the Fishery Office Pacitan indicates that
Tamperan Fishing Port has total production volume in 2018 was
4.962 tonnes for non-value added product (whole round tuna).

Tamperan Fishing Port is located on the edge of the Indonesian Ocean as a fishing
ground for tuna fishing, 70% of the captured fishery products landed at Tamperan
Beach Fisheries Port are classified as TCM commodities (Tuna Cakalang Mackarel). With
the development of the anchorage pool II with a depth around -8 meters and an area of
5.5 hectares, it can accommodate a 60-200 GT longline tuna fishing vessel.
