- Quality of content
- Presentation of content
- Question attempted
- Time management
Others -
- Language clarity (handwriting)
- Grammatical mistake in sentences
- Medium of language
4. Related to writing the exam
1. Poor time management
2. Poor quality of content
3. Duplicacy of answer
4. Improper marking of answer No.
5. Focus more on easy question
6. Leaving the question unattempted
7. Mixing of two answers, Difficult to differentiate by the
examiner
5. Related to instruction
1. Section A and Section B confusion
2. Pen - which color pen is to be used. No Clear guidelines but
ask from your invigilator if any special instruction at the time of
exam. But avoid red and green pen.
3. Ignoring the instruction regarding question, e.g.
a. attempt any 3 or
b. Q. 4 is compulsory like that instruction.
7. Presentation
● Clear and understandable handwriting along with speed
● Heading and subheading must be clearly distinguishable
● Focus more on diagram or flow charts instead theory wherever
necessary e.g. pathophysiology, anatomy etc
● Content should be specific and relevant. Avoid excessive and
irrelevant content.
8. Presentation
● important information should be clearly notable (E.g. underline
the important information)
● Give due importance to each question. Each question helps you
in scoring.
● AVOID WRITING IN PARAGRAPH. WRITE POINT TO POINT
MANNER
9.
10. Poor time management
● Student spend more time on easy question and that why less time is
left for another question. To avoid this, divide equal time for each
question. And follow this time management strictly.
● For e.g. if you have to attempt 5 question, spend 35 minute for each
question. Like that you will be able to attempt all question with in
prescribed time .
● 5 question x 35 minute = 175 minute out of 180 minute (3hrs). At
last 5 minute are left to review the answer sheet again .
11. Poor content
● Student write the irrelevant content instead for appropriate
and specific content.
● Focus on writing the specific and related to the question asked.
12. Duplicacy of answer
● Some students attempts question repeatedly.
● Remember that attempting a question two time will not increase your
mark. Because the scoring by the examiner is done directly on the OMR
sheet attached with your answer sheet. The examiner check the answer
and then turn to the OMR sheet and write marks in the prescribed
column. And if the examiner has already given marks in the prescribed
column, the next time when he turn to OMR sheet to write marks, he
find that the prescribed column is already filled. So he will not give
marks to that repeat answer.
● So student don't waste your time in duplicating the answer for same
question
13. Improper marking of answer No.
Some time the students don't write the Question Number properly while
writing the answer. This indicated to the examiner that you have given the
wrong answer or either you have not attempted the question.
E.g. You write the question no. but write answer for another question, the
examiner may not provide marks.
if you write 1.(c) as question number but gives answer for 1.(d), the
examiner will interpret that the answer is given for 1.C and it is wrong.
14. Focus more on easy question
Some time student focus on easy question spending more time and
occupying more spaces(pages) than required.
Remember that each question is important for scoring and to pass
the exam so give equal importance to all question.
15. Leaving the question unattempted
Try to attempt all question, avoid leaving the question
unattempted.
This will improve your overall scoring.
16. Mixing of two answers, Difficult to
differentiate by the examiner
Sometimes the student write in a manner in which it is difficult to identify where
the previous question is ending and the next question is starting.
Be caution about it because it may results in unchecking of next answers.
To avoid this mark your question no. in the middle of the line in a clearly visible
manner OR
START EVERY QUESTION AFTER 3 TO 4 BLANK LINE. SO IT CREATE
SEPARATION BETWEEN TWO ANSWER
19. Section A and Section B confusion
Sometimes the student get confused when there are two section in
the question paper and two separate answer sheets are provided.
Remember that section are clearly mentioned on the question paper
so select the section A and Section B answer sheet appropriately.
If you write section A paper in section B answer sheet, it will be
bundled along with section B sheets. And likewise it will be
checked by the the examiner who is allotted section B sheets. So
further it may create problem for you.
20.
21.
22. ignoring the instruction regarding
question
Read the instruction given on the question paper carefully.
e.g.
a. attempt any 3 or any five …
b. Q. 4 is compulsory like that instruction.
Student don't read the instructions carefully and attempt all
question so wasting their time without any benefit.
