This workshop helps you maximize teamwork and strengthen performance
among your global and virtual teams;
it provides practical tools to develop strategies for international teambuilding.
In times of crisis, more than ever, managers have no time to waste: they simply want things to happen.
Workshop overview
With globalization sweeping the world, your
organization faces significant new opportunities
and challenges. Mergers & acquisitions, strategic
alliances, reorganization within international
groups, the mobility of your workforce …all these
situations have shaped your professional
landscape creating new international teams.
Whether you manage people from other
countries or work in geographically disperse
teams, you need to find ways to connect your co-
workers from very different cultural backgrounds.
Today, it is generally acknowledged that a Global
Team can generate higher on-time performance,
but only if differences in perception and
understanding are first understood, second
acknowledged and then leveraged for quick
gains in performance.
This is what you will discover during this one-day
interactive cross-company workshop focusing on
the challenges of global teaming.
You will first get to understand of why and how
multicultural teams often generate frustrating
management dilemmas and create substantial
obstacles to effective teamwork. You will then
practice with new tools that enable you to build
team cohesion & participation, create and
maintain trust and improve cross-cultural
communications & people management skills.
Last but not least, you will be challenged, through
a selection of real-world business situations, to
modify your leadership style, define the right
strategy to value cultural differences empowering
individuals to perform at their peak level.
Who should attend?
The workshop is designed for team leaders who
need to mobilize multicultural, co-located or
geographically dispersed teams to implement
strategic organizational goals. Participants may
be new to the managerial role, or they may have
held a managerial role for some time.
What will I be able to do after participating?
- You will be able to recognize underlying cultural effects in team work performance.
- You will learn to communicate more effectively both face-to-face and virtually.
- You will come up with team-building strategies to keep your global/virtual teams together and on track.
- You will find questions to your burning questions and apply the lessons learned to your individual
business context.
