  2. 2.  One-to-one mentoring matches an adult mentor with a student in grades 2-12. Minimum commitment of one hour per week for one year.  Group Mentoring brings a team of mentors to a group of students after school.  Tutoring brings a mentor into the school to improve academics.  Worksite Mentoring partners with local businesses and corporations to find the most appropriate way to give back to students. Thanks to Kevin’s presence in my life, I’ve grown past everything that I saw and experienced in my childhood. Advisors provide comprehensive support including:  Academic planning  College entrance exam preparation  Financial aid guidance  College tours  Scholarship searches and preparation  College advising and coaching  Co-op and internship assistance  College transition support You meet people that will make you feel like they’re a family to you, and they will always be there for you when you need them. — Crizoline, CYC student A one-credit high school elective for 10th through 12th graders, and including 7th through 9th in select schools. Career specialists use experiential-based curriculum, teaching 37 core competencies (soft skills) and combining classroom work with student enrichment activities, putting students on the path to employment, college enrollment or enlistment in the military. Students are supported for one year post- high school completion to ensure a successful transition into post-secondary pursuits. My JCG Specialist is phenomenal. She will be a forever mentor for me.
