   is one of 14 IEC’s in Sydney + IEHS
   is for beginner EALD (ESL) students only
   has class sizes up to a maximum of 18
   has about 100 students – 12 to 18 years old
   has different outcomes and expectations to
    mainstream high school

     students can download and learn.

Marsden Intensive English Centre (IEC)  is federally funded  is in Marsden High School in West Ryde  is one of 14 IEC’s in Sydney + IEHS  is for beginner EALD (ESL) students only  has class sizes up to a maximum of 18  has about 100 students – 12 to 18 years old  has different outcomes and expectations to mainstream high school
  • 2. Which Technology? Why?  Engages students with open- ended questions,  to help students reflect and question in a safe, supportive environment,  provides storage for teaching activities so students can download and learn.
  • 3. Which Technology? Why?  Creates a stimulating, visual learning environment where ESL teaching stategies can be interactively used,  allows for both group work and the individual  has a gallery of editable activities.

  • 5. Which Technology? Why?  Provides opportunities for students to write collaboratively in real-time,  allows students to ‘chat’ about their writing,  allows teachers to view work, during or after real- time writing.
