The Site is located in the entrance of southern Abdoun this situation gave
The project a particular importance .
The site is in a well known position with clear vision from many angles.
The site will become a well known land mark in Abdoun
The ground is not rocky and easy for excavation that will reduce the costs
The site is surrounded by evergreen landscape that will give the site
A beautiful surrounding views
The site is bordered by residential buildings this will give the site a Quiet
calm and peaceful nature
The site is located far a way from the crowded zones of Abdoun
The project well play a major role in this area of Abdoun
Because the site is located in an important zone of Amman it will always
be provided with services
The site is next to a main street so it has an easy approach
The site is on a main street that produce continues pollution from
automobile exhaust.
The noises that comes from the two streets next to site
The slope of the site may raise the costs of the project..
The slope of the site may cause problems with drainage
The hot summer and cold winter will need mechanical cooling /
Heating devices that will raise the costs.
The big variation between summer and winter climates will increase
the difficulty of controlling the thermal comfort in the interior spaces.
The site cleanness is bad
Creating a major role project in the area may cause disturbance for
people who live in the residential buildings around the site
Making the area more attractive by our new project
Creating a beautiful welcoming architecture in Abdoun southern
gate
Isolating the inner spaces of the project from the outdoor noises
and pollution from the surrounding streets.
Using passive solar heating/ cooling strategies to reduce the need
of mechanical equipment.
Following the LEED strategies for a green building.
Providing architectural beauty to the people who lives nearby .
Recycling the wastes and bottles in and around the site.
Abdoun where the site is located contain 6 embassies
The big slope in the land could be an opportunity to create and
interesting movement in the building form.
The project will Convey a message about country values through architecture
The slope of the site as a rain water drainage into the site.
The site carrying a special signs that it needs a good security

Vertical Shading: in the winter actually we want to let the winter sun
in to give heat and light to the building so we will check for solar
access that might be blocked by landforms, vegetation, and
manmade structures.
[7] Sun path architectural response:
-Avoid trees on the south side of the building.
-Avoiding the training rooms to be south-facing
-Use active solar collectors for domestic hot
water, swimming- pool heating, space heating,
and process heat for industry.
Using clear story lighting to reduce
the need of electrical lighting in the
sunshine hours, and avoiding the use of
skylight to protect the interiors form the
high intensity of the summer sun heat.
Using light colors for exterior walls to reflect high
percentage of the sun radiation.
No need for using indirect evaporative cooling devices
because the humidity is average .
Because of hot summer, we would rather use
mechanical cooling equipment or replacing it with
passive cooling strategies.
Making an easy access for disabled people.
Taking consideration of the surrounding
architectural patterns, and the used materials
And taking aware of reflecting embassy‘s
country values
- Vegetation can reduce noise
and clean the air of dust and
certain other pollutants.
- Double-skin facades, which
are also known as smart
facades control the spread of
noise.
Ventilation :
Use comfort ventilation, natural ventilation that
cools people by passing air over their skin.
Noise:
Opening the site to the green areas (good
views), making connection between the
interior and the exterior.
-using thermal insulation in the winter and
thermal mass walls for the summer.
-using shaded windows and louvers to let the
light in and preventing the heat to enter.
