2. China Technology Conferences. Overview and Painful points of China Auto
The conference main event is the contest of projects with the possibility to select a few that could be realized in
the local area (province, region, city). The best projects usually get the local government approval and monetary
grant for their implementation at local territory accordingly. There are several conditions before the funds are
actually granted. The founders of the prospective company have to invest the amount of money exceeding the
assumed grant funding for a new business. The government also requires regular reports on spending and
progress status. The grant is given for the period of three years, distributed equally to each year.
Painful points of China Auto Industry
As results of many discussions at conferences and private meetings with several company managers I made an
observation about a weak (painful) point common for the entire Chinese Auto industry. It looks like the point is
somehow related to our presentation, and therefore experts liked our propositions. We understood that if we
could resolve the common problem the Chinese government would provide us with lots of money as well as
worldwide respect and honour. So far for some reasons copying Western analogues by Chinese Auto industry
are unsuccessful. To resolve this issue is a difficult task but it's possible. Non-typical approach to the problem
evaluation and resolving methods is required.
