Description:
Established in 2001, Tata AIG is one of India’s largest general insurance companies. It provides non-life insurance
solutions to individuals, groups and corporate houses all over India. Tata-AIG general insurance deals with three
major line of business (LOB)-Accident and health insurance, Personal Lines and Commercial Lines.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for a gamut of applications used by Personal Lines (profit centre), Claims, Cash Receipting &
Accounting (Support functions) on a day to day basis
• Understanding and supporting the entire Company operations – cover notes issuance, policy issuance,
policy booking, printing and renewal related activities, claims settlement, policy receipting
• Resolving issues reported by users, trouble shooting, analyzing and responding to users within a defined
TAT
• Reporting/MIS: generation of various reports required by Claims team and Personal Lines profit centre ,
delivery on timely basis

Day to Day tasks:
• Data validation to fix user’s issues related to data: Mismatch of data between different
databases is a common problem for the users.
• Performance Enhancement: Analysis of queries, Sp for performance tuning
• Deployment of deliveries from offshore: Enhancements and Bug Fixes to the application were
deployed to Staging and Production environments by following a change control process. Deployment
is done only after rigorous testing and user sign off.
• Understanding the requirements (related to enhancements), Analysis and
Communicating to offshore: Requirements given by the client are analyzed and then
communicated to offshore in ‘Change Request’ document. Query Resolution is a part of every change
request wherein telephonic conversations are made with offshore to ensure the understanding and
analysis is correct.
• Monitor Jobs’ status: Ensure that the daily jobs run successfully. In case of problems, co-ordinate
with DBA and network team to fix the problem, communicate the status to the users and then re-run the
jobs for successful results. In case of failure, manually run the queries for the jobs and send the output to
the users.
• Assist and mentor junior team members: Being one of the senior most team members clubbed
with good training skills has helped to provide knowledge transition and timely assistance in trouble
shooting and problem solving to both onsite and offshore team members.
System enhancements & automations:
Most policy binding activities (Tata Motors, IDEA Cellular Fleet, Hero Motors and many others) were automated
because it was quite cumbersome for Operations team to do it manually. Some were developed in a day’s time.
Binding program was also enhanced to pick the high premium cases and appropriate checks were introduced to
expedite it as well.
Tools were developed for several manual tasks.
Contributed extensively towards all tie up projects – Hero Motors, Tata Motors, E-Meditek Claims module are
the major ones among them.

institutions, and individuals. The company operates in three business segments: Institutional Securities, Global
Wealth Management Group, and Asset Management.
3RS(Reviewer,reporter and reconciler)- This is a data warehouse project in which data is pumped to 3RS
from Business source by different jobs based on the file received from business source .Once the data is
pumped in 3RS database,data is being validated at three level (Reporter,Reviewer and Reconciler). Once
data is validated,same is signed off by user .
PNL attribution (Profit and Loss )-This project is for maintaining daily profit and loss based on trade date,
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Lead the 3Rs and General Ledger team (Capgemini).
• Interacted closely with the client and business users to narrow down their requirement and present the
impact analysis from the IT perspective.
