Burial service of the late Albert CArlos bensA bonuedie
lbert Carlos Bensa Bonuedie was
born to Mr. Kwashie Fovi Agbeli
Bonuedie and Madam Ablakpo
Ladzekpo, all of blessed
memory, on the 18th August,
1966 at Accra New Town.
He started his elementary education at
Anlo Aworme Fia School at Anyako
Kpota, but went to Accra in 1983 during
the famine to complete his elementary
education at Bethel ‘3’ Middle School at Accra
New Town and completed in 1985. He later
attended Accra Technical Training Centre (ATTC) at
Kokomlemle in Accra, where he studied Electrical
Installation, but could not continue to
Polytechnic due to financial
constraints.
Due to his special ability in
cooking, Albert worked as a cook
at a restaurant in Pigfarm in Accra
for some time. He move on and
worked at a carpet shop at
Kokomlemle as a layer and
furnisher of rooms on contract.
Albert was part of the team that
decorated the Independence Square
during the Ghana at 50 celebration. His
work led him to a lot of big men and as a
result, he travelled to various parts of Ghana to lay

carpets and furnish rooms with curtains and other
accessories. He became financially stable through this
work.
Albert met his wife, Miss Ruby Adzo Adovor and they
got married on 13th April, 2001, both customarily and
by ordinance at the A.M.E Zion Church at Mamprobi
Branch. God blessed their marriage with three lovely
kids, Esidem, Selorm and Seyram.
In the year 2002, he started experiencing ill health, on
and off. Later in 2003, he started losing weight. In
2005, he started coughing profusely and was not
responding to treatments. Various tests were run on
him but all to no avail. He was moved from one
hospital to the other for treatment. Alternative
medications were also tried, until 2012 when the cough
reduced drastically. We were happy that all was over,
only for him to develop swollen feet which turned to
sores, alternatively from one foot to the other. The
family did not rest on their oars to get him treated of
all these. In September, 2015 it became severe, he was

hospitalized at Ridge Hospital. He got better but
never became free from the feet and legs so he had
to stop work and stay at home.
The siblings, other family members, friends and well-
wishers tried to rescue him but he could return to his
full healthy status. Finally, he passed on to glory at his
residence on 28th March, 2023.
Albert was calm and soft-spoken gentleman. He was
full of humour. He enjoyed singing and drumming as
well as dancing, something that has been a redemptive
gift of the family. He was a staunch Christian who
worshipped at the A.M.E Zion Church until he
became weak. We will forever miss you. Fare thee well
our kinsman, brother, son, father and husband.

y heart bleeds bitterly because our
22 years journey has come to an
end. I lost a husband, a friend, an
advisor and a brother. From 2014
till your demise your health has
not been the best. It has been on and off.
Sometimes stable and some other times very
difficult.
Through it all, God has been faithful to
uphold you and surround you with very abled
and caring siblings, your caring children and
myself, who supported you and made sure
you got the best care.
You always encouraged me to take heart
because you have a late brother called ‘Dodzi’

and a sister called Mawumɛŋlɔmbɛo,
so God will not forget us. You also
encouraged me to never give up that
one day it shall be well. 28th March
2023, you called me, thanked me and
said I should take care of the
children, thank Bishop Hillard
Dogbe, and all your siblings on your
behalf especially Rev Maxwell
Acolatse Bonuedi, Lɔlɔnyo and Jonas
Kotoka.
I asked you why? You said you were
about to leave, few hours later death
snatched you from me. Today my
love, you have become the earth’s
loss and the heaven’s gain. You will
forever remain an open chapter of
importance in my life that nothing
can ever close.

I am living with you a gift- peace of mind and heart. And the
peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled
or afraid. John 14:27
uR Dad was peaceful, understanding,
hardworking and ambitious man. Never
did we hear or see him fight or exchange
words with anyone. He was a man of few
words. He was a true definition of peace.
We never questioned his love for us because it was
obvious. He was not just a Dad, he was a friend to
us. Our Dad was a disciplinarian who made sure to
instill a good sense of discipline in us.
He was also a very good singer. He usually sung
Methodist Hymns. His favorite hymn is MHB 517,
“Simply Trusting Everyday”. This he would sing with
much delight.
Our Dad was a good man and when we say good,
we mean unfailingly good to the core. Dada, as we
fondly called you, you were and are still special to us.
Our regret is that we did not have enough time to
fulfill our dreams and aspirations together. We’ll
forever appreciate your tender love, care and advice.
To us you were a great man, and great men like you
don’t die, they continue to live in the heart of men.

Tour good work is here with us and your memory
will forever live with us. Dada, we loved you but
God loves you best. You have fought a good fight.
You have finished your course and you have kept
the faith. Henceforth, there is a crown laid up for
you. A crown of righteousness, which the Lord,
the Righteous Judge shall give you on that day.
May the Lord Bless Your Humble Soul. Rest In
Perfect Peace till we meet again at Jesus’ feet and
to part no more.

“Every man’s life ends the same way; it is only the details of
how he lived and how he died that distinguish one man from
another”. Ernest Hemingway
OW frail is humanity! How short is
life, how full of trouble! We blossom
like a flower and then wither. Like a
passing shadow, we quickly disappear.
Must you keep an eye on such a frail
creature and demand an accounting from me? Who
can bring purity out of an impure person? No one!
You have decided the length of our lives.
You know how many months we will live, and we are
not given a minute longer. So, leave us alone and let
us rest! We are like hired hands, so let us finish our
work in peace. Job 14:1-6
Our brother embodied everything that is peaceful or
calm. A man of few words, full of faith and
determination to thrive in life no matter the storm.
Mr Cooper, our hearts are bleeding heavily as we
gather to pay you this glorious tribute and lay your
mortal remains to rest. In fact, if we had the power
of resisting death or redeeming the dead to life, your
life would have been saved.

You were such calm and a gentle brother who
meant a lot to all of us. Your calm nature has
endeared you to heart of many. Truly, we
would miss that soft voice that sounded on
our phones from time to time.
We were all taken aback on that 28th March,
2023, when we heard the news of Albert’s
demise from this world. Though he was
battling with ill health, it wasn’t to the point
where anyone could contemplate his passing
to glory.
But alas, death is unpredictable. We cannot
debate anything, but agree with that great
man of old, Job, when he said, “How frail is
humanity! How short is life, how full of
trouble! We blossom like a flower and then
wither. Like a passing shadow, we quickly
disappear”.
Efo Bensa, though death has taken your body,
we know that God has taken your soul, and
our minds will keep your memory. We loved
you brother, But God loves you best.
Fare thee well. Rest Well with Your Maker.
