2. • 1) What has the photograph been taken for?- The photograph has been taken for ‘Q’
magazine.
• 2) What type of photography is it and how do you know?- This picture will have been taken in
a studio, it is also a portrait shot.
• 3) Discuss the framing and what type of shot and angle has been used and why?- This is a mid
shot of her body.
• 4) Discuss the composition- There is a grey background because Lady Gaga is the main image
and the focus of the magazine.
• 5) Discuss the focus- The whole focus is on Lady Gaga and her body because they think it will
attract men to buy the magazine.

3. • 6) How has the mise-en scene been used?- It is a unique outfit
which represents Lady Gaga because she likes being different
and does not care what people think about her.
• 7) How does it promote or market the event/product?- It
promotes the magazine because Lady Gaga is a well known pop
star so it can make the magazine a lot of profit, all her fans will
probably purchase the magazine.
• 8) How does it appeal to its target audience?- It appeals to its
target audience because people who like her are usually counter
culture, her audience like her because they like the way she isn’t
scared to show the world who she really is.
• 9) What story does the photograph tell- It tell us that lady Gaga
ignores the mainstream media and she does what she wants and
what's best for her fans. She dresses in the style that she wants
and does not care about what the public and media will say
about her.
• 10) How will it make people want to buy your magazine?- People
will be excited to see what Lady Gaga has to say.
