18. Homeland Security Forum Since early 2002 and shortly after 911, the LTC has implemented Annual Homeland Security forums that have focused on a variety of homeland security initiatives and issues pertinent to our State and country. The theme of the forum focuses on the significance that technology plays in the overall homeland security efforts of Louisiana and our country. The focus has centered on the Role of Technology in Homeland Security, how Louisiana companies can participate both at the federal and state level, the progress that has been made at all levels of government and what further development is needed to protect our citizens. The LTC provides presentations by prominent executives and leaders from Federal, State and City government along with key business leaders. Past participants have included the Director of Science and Technology from the Department of Homeland Security, advisors to the President, military commanders and more. State and City leaders responsible for homeland security efforts and Homeland Security experts from across the country and internationally have also presented. Homeland security companies are able to showcase their products and services to these leaders and all attendees. This full half event features speakers addressing a particular topic or theme in the homeland security arena. The event is promoted across the Gulf South and nationwide through the LTC’s relationship with technology councils across the country. Signature and supporting sponsors attend a dinner with the speakers on the night before the event, are recognized in the program and have the opportunity to say a few comments on the day of the event. This is an excellent forum for companies to showcase their homeland initiatives, meet the leaders in the homeland security arena and understand the needs and requirement of both federal and state government and the business community. Homeland Security Investment Signature Sponsorship: $10,000 (maximum of two) Supporting Sponsorship: $5,000 (maximum of three) Booth Sponsor (LTC member): $500 (Non-LTC member) $750 ( The information contained in this sponsorship opportunity is subject to change at any time. 2011 Louisiana Technology Council Sponsorship Opportunities Page 17
