SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS
• The primary responsibility of the Head of Faculty (HOF) is curriculum and pedagogical leadership
within the school. The HOF develops, adapts, coaches and promotes ‘best teaching and learning’
strategies and practice within the school to ensure that the students achieve Abu Dhabi Education
Council’s vision as world class learners, fully proficient in both Arabic and English. The Head of
Faculty plans and collaborates with the school leadership to ensure that the curriculum is implemented
effectively in the school and that teachers use modern teaching, learning and assessment strategies to
optimize student achievement. Other responsibilities:
• Acts as a role model for the teachers showing them how to improve their professional performance
through self-development and strengthening areas of weakness;
• Evaluate the professional performance of teachers in accordance with approved policies for teacher
standards and performance management cycle and provide ongoing formal and informal advice and
feedback to teachers;
• Train teachers to analyze the results of student assessments and to use the analysis to adjust and
improve their teaching programs;
• Participate as a member of the school leadership team to develop, plan and implement strategies and
priorities for school development and improvement;
• Contribute to the development of school policies and procedures concerning all matters relevant to
teaching and learning, students and parents;
• Coordinated parent workshops on EMSA. Communicated the details of EMSA and emphasized the
importance of attendance, proper rest and breakfast for students during testing times. Provided
parents with examples of test via email;
• Facilitated School Improvement Plan meetings for teachers.
• Instructional Leadership - Use a balanced blend of motivational and targeted instruction
methodologies to enhance curricula, focus on the three primary components: 1) an explicit
instruction delivery system with evidence-based strategies that supports instructional and assistive
technology integration; 2) data-driven decision-making protocols and tools; and 3) high quality
professional development with online learning communities and resources.
• Worked closely with district leaders and community partners to encourage parental involvement and
strong community alliances;
• Utilized a visionary approach with consistency to help teachers past the threshold of not-knowing
to knowing and developing to their fullest extent;
• Served on the interviewing and hiring committee with school leadership
