2. @lauraklein
Don’t Do It Alone
Make sure you have multiple stakeholders involved in all
tests so you don’t have to write a report.
(PPT decks are even worse)
3. @lauraklein
Don’t Leave It To The End
Do a quick debrief after every user session or test
completion to identify top 3 issues observed.
4. @lauraklein
Dump And Sort
Write down all your learnings from sessions on sticky
notes and sort them into categories for faster
prioritization.
5. @lauraklein
Make An Action Plan
Research is pointless if you don’t turn it into
action! Make a plan immediately.
6. @lauraklein
Don’t Keep It Secret
Put your action plan in a place where the whole team
can see it.
7. @lauraklein
Ok, Keep Some Of It A Secret
Nobody gives a crap about your session notes/full
length videos/ppt slides/interpretive dance numbers.
Involve team members in the research or give them
small, actionable pieces of data.
8. @lauraklein
Stop It Already!
If you keep hearing the same things over and over, it
means you’re not fixing the important stuff. Stop
researching and do something!
