Program Used
Adobe InDesign
Objective
Design a magazine cover that is full bleed that introduces yourself.
Process
1. I began this process by looking at different magazine ideas.
2. I then sketched the top 4 that I was interested in creating.
3. Once I picked a design, I then drew a shape map of the layout I wanted to try to follow.
4. I then found a picture that I thought would be fitting for this magazine cover.
5. I then created a new InDesign process to start creating my magazine cover.
6. I went to photoshop to edit some of my picture so that the title could fit above my head,
because the original picture didn’t have enough room at the top.
7. I took my edited picture and inserted it into the InDesign document.
8. I then formatted the text boxes with my article titled and placed them in an orderly manner.
9. I then created my color scheme and stuck with a consistent color scheme throughout this
process.
10. Once I finished, I then saved the document as a JPEG, PDF, and InDesign file.

Objective
Create a spiritual or inspiration montage using Photoshop
Process
1. I found a quote that I wanted to base a design off of.
2. I found two images that correlated with the quote I wanted to use and then I put those two
images in a new document.
3. I used the lasso tool to crop out what I wanted to use for my two pictures.
4. I then used the brush tool to help blend the two images together and make it look consistent
and like one picture.
5. I then messed with the opacity of the picture and the brush tool to make it blend some more.
6. Afterwards I then looked to find a layer that could be used with a blending tool in the
background.
7. I found the overlay layer that helped blend in with my picture.
8. I then added text and I used two different fonts to help highlight certain words to stand out.
9. I then had to step back and use the focus process and I really used the step of simplify
because I had to simplify what I was doing because the text was too much.
10. I used contrast the my advantage with my text in my final copy.
11. I also made it one consistent color so it didn’t distract from the picture or overall message.

Process
1. I sketched out some possible designs that I could use for my logo on paper.
2. I then worked in illustrator and started to come up with my three designs.
3. I then began to work with different color schemes and different fonts that could help give
each design and different look and contrast.
4. I tried to make one of my logos a symbol log, then I had an illustration and a type logo.
5. After I came up with my three logos, I then asked peoples opinions on the three and what
they liked about each logo to help decide on which one to use for my final product.
6. I had several votes that they liked one design, but I got some votes that they liked the font on
the other design.
7. So I then mixed two of my designs and made it into one.
8. However, I then had to change the color scheme so that it was one consistent color scheme
instead of two.
9. After I finalized the logo and color scheme, I then created my letter head.
10. I then created my business cards and when I created my business cards, I wanted to make
