SAA Career Mentoring - Mentee
1. Program Overview
SAA Career Mentoring connects students with professionals who are successful in their field and willing
to share their expertise. Mentors coach their Mentee by guiding career path exploration, encouraging
new experiences, providing feedback, and supporting the development of pertinent skills.
The goal of the program is to develop the Mentee’s professional and personal growth by enhancing
networking and decision-making skills, in addition to applied, career-related knowledge.
Program Activities
Mentors and Mentees interact at least once a month by email, phone, social media, or in-person:
• Review resume and other professional documents
• Job shadow; company tour
• Mock interviews
• Share internship and job opportunities
• Share industry related articles and links
• Identify professional, industry and/or civic organizations and attend a meeting or networking
event
How to Apply
Step 1: Complete this document and save as SAA Career Mentoring
Step 2: Login to your MyCWU account and click on the Wildcat Career Network, located on the right
side of the page under ‘Applications’ See Example
Step 3: Upload your completed SAA Mentee Packet
HERE’S HOW
Click on the ‘Documents’ tab on the top navigation bar
>click ‘Add New’ >check ‘Other Document’ >’Choose File’ >click ‘Submit’
Step 4: Send an email to centralsaa@cwu.edu stating you have submitted your packet

3. I understand that regular communication and interaction is expected on a monthly basis, at minimum,
and the Support Lead will assist in facilitating appropriate activities and ideas.
I agree to respond promptly and keep in touch.
I understand that at any time during my participation in the program I can contact the Support Lead
with any concerns, problems or issues.
I agree that CWU Alumni & Constituent Relations can provide the following information about me to
other mentoring program participants: name, class level, major and e-mail.
I understand that any SAA Career Mentoring participants- myself and the Mentor included- may
terminate the relationship at any time.
I agree, if at any time I need to remove myself from the program, I will inform the Support Lead
immediately, and I can request that the Support Lead inform my Mentor.
I understand that the Mentoring Program may terminate a Mentor-Mentee relationship at any time.
