2. About the Department
The Department of Commerce was established in 1971.
Offers Commerce Education to arround 1100 students at UG and PG Level.
Offers five courses at UG level and one at PG level.

4. About Courses :
B.Com.(Regular): Started in 1971-72, offers commerce course as prescribed
by the university.
B.Com.(Taxation): Started in 1994-95, offers specialized education in the
discipline of taxation to equip students with nuances of Income tax.
B.Com.(Honours): Started in 2005, offers advanced commerce education to
inculcate a higher understanding of commerce suitable for pursuing .
B.Com.(Computers): Started in 2002-03, offers commerce education
integrated with ICT skills.
B.Com.(Business Analytics): Started in 2019-20, offers commerce education
integrated with impacting skills on Data Analysis and Data Analysis
Software.

19. Future Plan
The department intends to start certificate course in CRM as a part of
enhancing employability skills.
The department intends to enter into an MoU with Jeevanopadhi for
offering SAP course to B.Com. and M.Com. final year students.
The department intends to collaborate with the Human Capital center
of the college to offer skill enhancement courses for employability skills
and entrepreneurial skills.
