ROAD LINING
Thermo Plastic
Hot applied and best suited to tarmac surfaces,
it can be used on concrete but should have a
tack coat base applied first to offer greater
adhesion. The wear rate is good but can be
prone to chipping in colder weather and the
depth of the line can become too thick due to
too much remarking. Thermo-plastic is the
most cost efficient product with the best all
round performance.
Chlorinated Rubber
Good all round paint product which will apply to
any surface type. The cost is the same as the
thermo-plastic but takes approximately
(depending on ambient temperature) up to 20
minutes to cure properly so it can be trafficked.
Single pack Epoxy Resin
This product is very similar to the chlorinated
rubber but is a harder wearing product. It costs
approximately 13% more and it will not last as
long as the thermo- plastic.
Preform Markings
This product is very similar in its characteristics to
thermo-plastic. It comes in a solid version which
is pieced together similar to a jig saw and then
heated in the surface. Preform markings will have
the same pro’s and con’s as the hot thermo, the
cost is however is high in comparison.
MMA
This is a great product, it is essentially a cold
epoxy similar to thermo, but shares similar
qualities as the paint. It has been said by the
manufactures of the product that there is a several
year guarantee with this product. Some have
mentioned in excess of 6 years, which unlike the
other products which are warranted for a year with
certain disclaimers.

existing road / pathway / floor surfaces, our
planers are capable of specialist planing
around raised iron works and all types of
restricted areas.
Our 350DC mini planer is particularly popular
and useful in urban areas, minimizing traffic
disruption and leaving a perfect machine finish
for the final surface. It is capable of milling from
a width of 350mm – 500mm and at a depth of
30mm – 110mm.
J M Clark carries out planing contracts throughout
the UK, ranging from one-day hire to long-term
maintenance contracts.

HIGHWAYS OBSTRUCTIVE REMOVAL
JM Clark Ltd Recovery offer "total lift" (keyless) vehicle recovery for car and commercial vehicles inside
and outside the M25. We now offer our services to the general public for vehicle breakdown, accident
recovery, jump start & road side assistance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Highways work can often be delayed because a vehicle parked on the road can stop work from taking
place, despite having received letters telling them work was due to begin.
We are employed by the main highways contractor or council to remove vehicles that remain once
warnings have been ignored.
When works are due to start on a road, residents are sent a detailed letter informing them about access
arrangements and telling them when they will need to move their vehicles.
We will place traffic signs on the road to show that parking is prohibited and that vehicle tow away is
in operation.
The removal of cars will be the last stage in a
process that begins with issuing warning notices
the day before work begins. We will if necessary
remove the vehicle without the keys to the nearest
available space to allow works to be completed.
