Career planning   is the process by which one  selects career goals  and the  path to achieve those goals .  CAREER PLANNING vs  CAREER DEVELOPMENT:  What’s the difference?  Career development   consists of the  personal actions one undertakes to achieve a career plan .  The actions for career development may be initiated by the individual himself or by the organization.  Career development is the process of managing life, learning  and work  over  the  lifespan.

  1. Career Development is managing your career either within or between organizations. It also includes learning new skills, and making improvements to help you in your career. Career development is an ongoing, lifelong process to help you learn and achieve more in your career. Career Planning and Development In career development, the employee is responsible for career planning, and the organization, more specifically the HR practitioner, is responsible for career management. These two separate but related processes combine to make up the organizational career development process.

What would you do if money were no object? You may know exactly what you want to do. If so, move on to the next step.
