As part of the five founding members of this start-up organization my primary responsibility was to
develop a business model capable of generating sustainable revenue. This involved identifying the
target markets with the greatest potential to capitalize on the company’s unique technology and
utilizing my specific background and experience to implement programs to launch the technology. I
was able to begin implementation of these plans and unfortunately due to technical issues with the
technology we were not able to complete development of viable product and subsequent financial
constraints required personnel reductions.
My additional responsibilities included but were not limited to:
• All Marketing activities including creation of strategic plans, Marketing analysis and research
(4Ps, SWOT, SEO, competitive landscape, channel options, customer feedback, etc.), layout and
content design of all corporate communication tools, identifying exhibition and presentation
opportunities, packaging sourcing and design, and creating as well as managing Marketing
budget.
• All Sales activities including creation of contracts and agreements, implementation of Sales
tools, defining partner interface and communication procedures, designing customer and
technical service procedures, forecasting, prospecting, closing, and creating as well as managing
Sales budget.
• Specific Operations activities including creating procedures to manage inventory, assisting with
design and structure of QA/QC processes, identifying workflow optimization opportunities, and
managing aspects of Logistics.
• Specific Product Development activities including defining product performance requirements,
product design and function, project management, developing feedback loop, designing product
change procedures, and technical assistance.
