2. Are you
happy?Before trying to think
of any answer, take a
moment and realize
what makes your
happy, what does
happiness mean to
you? Is it something
that you would like to
have, is it something
that woulf like to
happen to you?
3. Make it clear
All people want to be happy, however few of them can define they personal
"happiness meaning". We humans think that certain thing will make us happy, however,
when we get them we still don't feel joy and happiness as we thought. Why? Because
we tend to believe that happiness is something that is happening out of our reference,
while the true fact is that happiness is an inner process.
We believe that a better job, a new boyfriend/girlfriend or a new car or an new pair of
shoes will makes us happy. However, when we get them we feel happy at the
moment, but then we return to our unhappy state and not enjoy anything.
Researches have shown that lotery winners are in the same happiness level before
winning the lottery a year after or even less happy.
Keep a clear idea of what happiness means to you, and be sure that is it what you
want.
4. Happines is an inside job.
Say "hallo" to Mr. Brain
When we feel happy our brain releases a
certain amount of chemical hormones
called Dopamine, Serotonin, Endorphines.
These chemical reactions cause the feeling
of accomplishment, reward and strength.
They are resposible of make us feel relaxed,
reduce stress level, enjoy things and and
improve our immune system. Also they
make us think more productive and be
more creative.
5. Brain Facts
Let's recall science for this topic.
This is a cute little brain cell. This cell is includes
some "tubes" the neurons. These guys over there
are responsible for creating knowledge, skills and
creative thinking when they connect with other
neurons. They like to connect with their friends
that's why they have neurotrasmitters which
allow the transmission of signals from one
neuron to the next across synapses. Now
imagine the neurotrasmitters like the smartphone
of neurons and they are trying to connect one
with the other, but let's say... they need wifi...this
wifi that will make neurotrasmitters work are
chemical hormones like DOPAMINE
-SEROTONIN-ENDORPHINES
Being happy is not
only to make us feel
good, but also make us
smarter and more
creative.
6. Being happy is a choice
We don't need to be happy , we just have to REMEMBER to be
happy.
Simple guide to happiness:
Change the negative story in your head-put your focus in the positive things that
happened. Seek for it.
Change your inner critical voice. Allowe yourself to be a human and experience all
the emotions without blaming yourself for feeling bad. It's ok not to be ok.
Build a community with positive people that will encourage and influence you in a
productive way.
Work out, release endorphines in your body.
Train your brain to be happy. Keep a journal writing every night things you are greatful
of and every morning things you want to achieve and what those mean to you
Believe that happiness is n inner process, be happy with yourself first.
