Virtual reality has really taken the technology world by storm. It has shown us what we've been missing from 2 hr movies views, to visual games etc. It's like your really there. The virtual experience is real and innovative.
Virtual reality may seem like the stuff left to science geniuses,
but in fact these technologies are just around the corner.
As larger aspects of our lives are experienced in digital
environments, the line between the digital and physical
world has already started to blur. In many ways, the digital
workplace can be seen as a type of virtual reality.
Damian Sinay thinks the digital and physical
worlds will continue to merge together.
Manyof his projects relate to the implementation,
architecture and development of
customizations and integrations for products
such as Microsoft TFS, SharePoint
and Dynamics SL.
[In the future] I see an increase in the use of digital tools, for example
the Microsoft HoloLens and other hologram/virtual reality devices
being developed. These tools will be more necessary and usable
Damian Sinay
Sinay points to the Microsoft HoloLens as a technology
that will introduce augmented reality to the way we work.
The HoloLens has already made a huge impact in the
world of medical education. Augmented reality and
wearable computers have great potential use
in medical operating rooms.
Augmented reality may mark
the end of the dwindling need for
a “business trip.” Workers of the future
may attend whole virtual conferences
with hundreds or thousands of
attendees from all over the world.
In ten years time, will we need to leave our homes for
anything? We are already able to shop online, work from
home and stream entertainment. An increasing number
of people are choosing to take advantage of these remote
options. Virtual reality has the ability to bring the convenience
of the digital world to our actual physical world.
