The attribution of spirit qualities to plants and objects then produced what we call “nature worship”

Pedro Chirino, Antonio de Morga and other spanish writter,the ancient Filipino believed in supremen being called BATHALA, the creator of heaven and earth, and all the living things,Being supertitious,they need omens in the apperance of crowns,crocodiles, and birds.Coments they believed to be a harbinger of bad lauck like famine,epidemic ,or war.

Medicine -in the early Philippine culture ,disease is understood as being caused by the violation of some taboo, or any attack by a ghost or a witch “Hand Trember”- a specialist hired for the occasion begins his work by sitting down beside the patient and carrying out a rite followed by a divination,the proper caring ceremony and the shaman medicine man or singer can be summoned.

  26. 26. Politikal System Rajah or Datu- called village chief chief- who has the power to decide issues or to lead the making of decisions
