4. Cromaticity Diagramm
Cree’s Standard Chromaticity Regions plotted on the 1931 CIE Curve
In 1931, the International Commission on illumination (CIE)
devised a method for representing colour. The CIE 1931
Chromaticity Diagram is a tool intended to illustrate the
way the human eye experiences light, using an x, y coordi-
nate system. The outer boundary represents colours with a
purity of 100% and the wavelength is listed in nanometers.

11. XLamp® XT-E
Highest-performing lighting-class LED
LEDs
Cree XLamp XT-E White LEDs are the highest-performance white LEDs available.
The XT-E LED delivers twice the lumens-per-dollar of previously available LEDs
in the popular XP footprint. By leveraging the popular XP footprint, customers
can easily incorporate the XT-E LED into existing XP LED designs to shorten
design cycle and improve time to market.
Built using the latest generation of Cree’s silicon carbide based LED chips that
deliver higher flux and efficacy, the XLamp XT-E White LEDs set new standards
of efficacy, light extraction and quality. Designed to accelerate LED lighting adop-
tion, the XT-E LED delivers up to 148 lumens and 148 lumens per watt in cool
white (6000 K) or up to 114 lumens and 114 lumens per watt in warm white
(3000 K), both at 350 mA, 85°C.

16. XLamp® XM-L EasyWhite LED
LEDs
The XLamp XM-L EasyWhite LED eliminates chromaticity binning, and enables lumi-
naire and bulb manufacturers to deliver the consistent colour and high efficacy light
output of a multi-die LED in the compact XM-L footprint. XLamp XM-L EasyWhite LEDs
can reduce LED-to-LED colour variation to within a 2-step MacAdam ellipse, 94%
smaller than the total area of the corresponding ANSI C78.377 colour region.
The XLamp XM-L EasyWhite LED is the perfect choice for lighting applications where
moderate to high luminous flux output is required from a single, small point source.
Example applications include: LED retrofit bulbs, commercial/retail display spotlights,
and other indoor general illumination applications.
