speakers of this productive
event. In welcome speech,
chairman, Department of
Mechanical Engineering, Dr.
Sadiq Ali Shah cordially
welcomed all the Guests of
Honor. Dr. Shah further briefed
regarding thetheme of the
conference and departmental
performance. Moreover,keynote
speakers delivered
presentationsregarding their
research in the respective areas
pertaining to the scope of the
conference.Among the keynote

Co- Director of Post Graduate

Furthermore, Pro Vice Chancellor
of MUET SZAB Campus Khairpur
appreciated the sedulous efforts
of Department of Mechanical
Engineering in IMSES 2015
session. He alsosharedthe
admirable achievements of
MUET SZAB campus and
proposed/future/forthcoming
expansion of it by initroducing
two new engineering disciplines.
The chief guest of the session
appreciated the tireless efforts of
the Department of Mechanical
Engineering and pointed
out/heighlited main areas of
renewable and non-renewable
energy sources and further up
held the importance of
intelligent manufacturing and
sustainable energy solutions in a
bid to cater energy needs of the
people of Pakistan. Whereas, in
the preceding sessions of 1st and
2nd day of conference, papers
were presented by the research
scholars of various universities
including NED university, QUEST,
Sukkur IBA, QUCEST Larkana, and
MUET SZAB CAMPUS.
Meanwhile, MUET SZAB Campus
students also participated in the
poster competition held on the
second day of IMSES 2015
conference. Prizes were
distributed among the top three
winners by senior faculty
members of SZAB campus to
appreciate the efforts of young
undergraduate stduents. At the
end of the conference, shields
were presented to the worthy
Vice Chancellor of MUET
Jamshoro, Pro Vice Chancellor
and Chairman, Department of
Mechanical Engineering of MUET
SZAB Campus Khairpur, and all
the key note speakers, research
scholars and to the organizers.

3. IEEE iQuad event was held at MUET SZAB, Khairpur, organized by IEEE MUET SZAB campus society, in
collaboration with Department of Electrical Engineering. Engr. Ghulam Sarwar Kandhar, Pro-Vice
ChancellorMUET SZAB campus inauguarated the event. Addressing to the audience, Engr. Ghulam
Sarwar Kandhar encouraged such kind of activities in each department to create competency
among/in students to raise their potential. The event comprises of eight different competitions such
as paper presentation, project competition, poster designing, debate program, short film and
photography skill, best click,quiz/scenarios and sports. The chief motive of this session was to provide
platform for young students to share their knowledge, to enhance their potential, and exposure of
their skills. IEEE MUET SZAB campus also brought out its first newsletter in this significant session.
Participation of professional engineers, career counselorsand a large number of students made the
session a centre of knowledge/ successful and productive.

Independence Day
Pakistan Independence day was celebrated with immense zest at Mehran UET Shaheed Zulfliqar Ali
Bhutto Campus on 14th August 2015. Engr. Ghulam Sarwar Kandhir Pro Vice Chanellor of the campus,
Registrar, chairmen of all the Departments, senior faculty members, administrative staff and Student
Welfare Officer were present during the flag-hoisting ceremony. The Pro Vice Chancellor recalled the
importance of this historic event and emphasized to cultivate patriotism among the students.

4. A seminar on Health & Safety Measurements
was organized by the Department of Mechanical
Engineering, MUET SZAB campus Khairpur on
_____. _______________ was the focal person
of the session. Mr. __________ explained the
participants regarding different aspects of
Health & Safety measures at the workplace.The
objective of seminar was to create professional
skills for accomplishment of engineering tasks.

Muhammad Abbas Balouch, Commissioner of Sukkur Division paid a visit to MUET Shaheed Zulfiqar
Ali Bhutto Campus, Khairpur on 5th January 2016.While, Munawar Ali Mithaani, Deputy
Commissioner Khairpur and Muhammad Yousuf Shaikh Additional Deputy Commissioner were the
Guests of Honor. On the arrival of Muhammad Abbas Balouch and other honourable guests, Engr.

Balouch inaugurated newly constructed building of the cafeteria and planted a plant to mark the event.
He was also informed about the ongoing projetcs of MUET SZAB campus bythe Pro-Vice Chancellor.
Muhammad Abbas Balouch emphasized to be vigilant about the quality of construction work in the
campus.At the end of the event,he ensured the Pro Vice Chancellor to provide sufficient funds for timely
completion of ongoing construction projects. Mr. Sajjad Memon Project Director of MUET SZAB campus
and the Heads of various Departments were present on this occassion.

campus.The team along with the
Pro Vice Chancellor visited and

Electronics Engineering at MUET
Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto
Campus Khairpur. Furthermore,
Engr. Shakir Soomro, Chairman

Engineering get visted the team
to all the deparments of the
campus and briefed them
regarding the infrastructure
facilities. The delegation
exchanged their views with the
faculty members of newly
established departments and
inquired them regarding
teaching strategies, students
progress and other academic
issues. Pakistan Engineering
Council team expressed
satisfaction regarding ongoing
construction projects and
towards the quality of education
provided to the young
undergraduate engineers. They
also appreciated the
administration for well equipped
classrooms and laboratories.

Technological Challenges of Next
Generation Engineers held
from 26th to 29th October 2015
at Auditorium Hall, MUET
Shaheed Z.A Bhutto Campus,
Khairpur Mir's. This event
consisted enormous package of
technical learning at national
level. The Petro Week comprised
of the following events: Petro-
Smart Quiz Competition, Career
Counseling workshop, Paper
Contest, Live Webinar,
Engineering Model competition
& Sports.Petro Week session
commenced with the recitation
of Holy Quran by Mr. Fayaz
Jamali (student of 15 Batch)
followed by the ribbon cutting
ceremony. The chief guest, Engr.

Chapter published on yearly
basis. After that, Petro Smart
Quiz Competition was started.
This event was conducted by
Engr. AbdulSamad Shaikh (SPE
Chapter coordinator) and was
judged by Prof. Dr. Muhammad
Yaqoob Soomro and Prof. Agha
Zafarullah Pathan.The four
teams participated/took part in
the Petro Smart Quiz
Competition.
On the 2nd day of the session,
the Career Counseling workshop
was held. It was conducted by
two trainers Muhammad Yusuf
Mangi and Engr. Abdul Shakoor
Shaikh (Head of Petroleum
department, PTTI). Whereas on
the 3rd day of the Petro week,

International Multi-topic
conference was organized by
Electrical Engineering
Department at MUET SZAB
campus with the collaboration of
other disciplines of the campus.
Its successful completion results
due to the preference and
cooperation of Engr. Ghulam
Sarwar KandharPro Vice
Chancellor of MUET SZAB
Campus. As IMTIC is an
international forum which aims
to promote research within
diverse fields of Information and
communication technologies,
such as Wireless communication,
signal processing, speech and
pattern recognition, Computer
systems & Networking, Power
Electronics, Signal Processing
and may other disciplines. In this
conference, many well-known
speakers from national and
international universities
presented their ideas regarding
strategies to overcome energy
crisis in Pakistan. The Chief Guest
of this conference was Prof. Dr.
Abdul Rehman Memon, who
remained former Vice Chancellor
of MUET Jamshoro. He expressed
his views suggesting the solution
to cope with Energy Crisis and
also ways to promote research in
newly evolved technologies.
Moreover, Professor Dr. Wazir
Mustafa from University of
Technology Malasyia also
blessed this occasion and
motivated young vibrant
undergraduate engineers. He
also presented his research
paper titled as Simulation of
PMSG Based on Wind Energy
System with Multi level NPC
Converter . Another keynote
speaker of IMTIC'2015
Conference was Prof. Kamal-nul-
Nizam Abu Bakar. He presented
his research on the topic
Energy Efficient Cluster Based
Scheme for WSN . In addition
to it, the session of project
exhibition was also arranged. In
which students demonstrated
their projects. Ms. Mahnoor and
Ms. Shahnoor Aslam of 13EL

He inaugurated the key projects
of MUET SZAB Campus Khairpur:

Gas Engineering, Electrical

Engineering, Electronics
Engineering, and Mechanical
Engineering disciplines.
Furthermore, chief minister of
Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah laid
down the ground breaking
ceremony of auditorium. In his
address to the media, the chief
minister of Sindh said that
education and health is in the
vision of Pakistan peoples party.
Education and health are the
most important provincial issues
that are at our priority to discuss
in the CCI session. He further
shows strong commitment to
work for the basic rights of Sindh
and raise issues in the federal
cabinet. Addressing attendees at
the inaugural ceremony, the
chief minister of Sindh said that
Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was the
renowed leader of the world and
he made Pakistan a strong hold
of Islam. The chief minister of
Sindh further intended to start
campuses of Mehran University
of Engineering and Technology
at JacobAbad, Mithi and Umar
Kot. It would be a great
achievement of Sindh
government to do so.

The spectacular opening ceremony of annual sports week took place on ______. The special guest of that
event was the Pro Vice Chancellor of MUET SZAB Campus Khairpur, Engr. Ghulam Sarwar Kandhir to
celebrate the joy of sports. In the first week of sports, students from all disciplines strived their best to win
the ______ . The ______ competition was held among students of Mehcnaical Engineering, Software
Engineering, and Electronics Engineering. In the best of three competitions, Victory attained by the
students of Mechanical Engineering department in two rounds.
MUET SZAB Campus has successuly achieved it's vision to complete the construction projects of
Department of Electrcial Engineering and Petroleum & Natural Gas. The project of Electrical Engineering
was started in the year of 2012 and completed in 2014. Whereas Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering
commenced in 2011 and completed in the year of 2013. Departments consists of _____ well equipped
laboratories in which undergradates will perform their practicals. All classrooms have multimedia based
teaching arrangments to implement the modern teaching strategies. Furthermore, faculty offices of both
discipines are well furnished.
Apart from that, project of cafeteria and mosque was started in 2013 and completed in the year of 2014.

Different construction projects are in progress ar campus such as construction of Security Compound Wall
of the New Site for Residential Complex, Road Network of the New Site for Residential Complex,
construction of Boys Hostel No. 03 New Land Site for Residential Complex.
MUET SZAB Campus has planned new construction projects like construction of Bungalows/ Quarters at
New Land at Residential area, costruction of Girls Hostels , construction of Gymnasium, construction of
Sports Complex, construction of Sports Mosque, construction of Colony Mosque, construction of Shopping
Centre, construction of Health Centre at new land residential area.
