About the Students Lehigh Career & Technical Institute is Pennsylvania’s largest career and technical school. Their mission is to provide learning opportunities that represent the evolving industries of the Lehigh Valley and prepare all students for their personalized career pathway. New Design High School is a Manhattan-based public high school for 9th -12th grade students with a unique focus on design. Their curriculum gives students the opportunity to explore fashion, entrepreneurship, art and academics.

Business Case Challenge Through SuitUp, volunteers from The Estée Lauder Companies GenNEXT and students from Lehigh Career and Technical Institute and New Design High School participated in a SuitUp business competition in which they created a new product for an Estée Lauder Companies brand that has an accompanying social impact and virtual launch experience. Volunteers coached students in various departments before helping them pitch to judges for a cash prize. The Estée Lauder Companies GenNEXT Impact SuitUp asked students if The Estée Lauder Companies GenNEXT’s SuitUp competition made an impact on their future career choice. 79% of students said that engaging with the volunteers influenced their career choice and now they can see themselves using skills such as communication, teamwork and public speaking.
