About Our Students Located in Ontario, Brain Power Enrichment delivers dynamic on-site classroom instruction complemented with online learning. The unique curriculum develops students into proficient problem solvers, creative thinkers, avid readers, solid writers, passionate speakers, and empathetic listeners. Hunts Point Alliance for Children focuses on ensuring all Hunts Point residents have access to the necessary academic, social, and mental health tools they need by offering high-quality programs and services for local children, youth, and families while nurturing young scholars along their path to college or career by unifying the diverse collective of community organizations to connect every family with the resources they deserve.

Business Case Challenge Through SuitUp, volunteers from Apollo and students from Brain Power Enrichment and Hunts Point Alliance for Children participated in a SuitUp business competition in which they created a new show for YouTube that celebrated and elevated women in business. Volunteers coached students in various departments before helping them pitch to judges for a cash prize. Competitions Make a Difference… 100% of students feel more confident in school and preparing for a career after working with SuitUp and their coaches 100% of volunteers believe their company made a positive impact through SuitUp 100% of volunteers see SuitUp as a way to encourage more students to explore their industry or company AFTER SUITUP...

Apollo Impact SuitUp asked students if Apollo’s SuitUp competition made an impact on their future career choice. 91% of students said that engaging with the volunteers influenced their career choice and now they can see themselves using skills such as communication, teamwork and public speaking. Students are now interested in exploring the following fields: Business Administration / Entrepreneurship 41% Education 18% Graphic/Web Design 14% Fashion Design 14% Financial Services 9% Marketing 9% Media/Public Relations 14% STEM 9% Other 50%

  9. 9. During the competition, we overheard… “ Honestly, we want everyone to watch the show. Everyone is important, especially men. Men don't know how much women actually go through. To educate men about women is the real reason we should do this. – HPAC Student All the ceos are just amazing. They kind of surprised us many times. The kind of ideas that they are giving, the thought process, I kind of thought... are they even kids? All of them could really be CEOs. – Apollo Coach It was truly a pleasure to work with all these beautiful minds, thank you so much for this opportunity. – Brain Power Student We really appreciated how inclusive this team was. Success for women can come in so many different ways. The multilingual content was a great way to reach a larger audience! – Apollo Judge
