1. Samosa Recipe
There’s nothing more comfortable than snacking a Samosa on bed with a hot cup of
coffee/tea and watching your favorite TV show or reading a book alongside. Samosa is one of
the most loved Indian snacks of all time. You can spot it in the eateries across the nook and
corner of the country. As monsoon has already arrived, this is the perfect time to learn this
recipe and enjoy your evenings.

Essential Ingredients
For Pastry
Maida / All-purpose flour : 2 cups
Semolina
: ½ cup
Oil

Preparation
Dough
1. Peel the boiled potatoes and chop it thoroughly into slices.
2. Grate the ginger, cut the onions and chop up the green chillies finely and keep them
ready.
3. Now, take the ingredients for dough and mix the flour, semolina, salt and oil together
in a bowl and mash it up. The finer you mash it, crispier the samosas will be.
4. If the mixture is not soft enough, add water.
5. Cover it up with a moist cloth and keep it aside for 10 – 15 minutes.
6. Knead the dough again gently and keep it ready.
Filling
1. Now take a kadai or a frying pan and heat the oil with medium flame. Once it starts to
crackle, add cumin seeds, coriander powder, chopped green chillies and stir it for 3
minutes.
2. Add onions, grated ginger and salt now sauté it for 2 minutes.
3. Simmer the flame and add boiled green peas to the mixture and stir.
4. Add mashed potatoes to the mixture and fry it for 5 minutes. Mix it with garam
masala and stir it thoroughly.
5. Taste the curry now and add salt accordingly.
6. Keep the filling aside and allow it cool.

Samosa
1. Make oval or round shaped rolls from the dough as you wish. Cut the rolls into two
equal halves and arrange it to form a cone.
2. Now fill the cone with 2-3 tablespoons of filling and gently press with your fingers so
that the cone is sealed.
3. Deep fry the samosas now in a kadai or a frying pan.
Hot and spicy Samosas are ready to serve.
