The answer is very often NOT 9-1-1
9-911 / 0 5555 9-911 44 7400
5559-911 / 081607 - 911

December 1,
2013
Kari met her estranged husband in a Marshall, Tx, hotel for
visitation with their 3 children
Her ex-husband brutally stabbed her 31 times
Her 9 year old tried to call 911 four times
Kari Hunt died from the 31st stab wound
Had her daughter reached 911, she may be alive
Why did the calls fail?
You needed to dial 9-911 from the hotel room
But that’s not what we teach our children
Kari Hunt died because of a single digit

22 Months Later – History [Amost] Repeats Itself
! October 13th, 2015 a man was stabbed at
the same Baymont Inn & Suites
! 9-1-1 was dialed and this time it worked
! Police Chief Campa said, "The caller was
able to call [9-1-1], get law enforcement and
EMS out to the scene with no problems, no
hesitation."
! He also noted, “There's still a lot of
businesses out there, not just
hotels, that you're still forced to dial that
additional 9."
Chief Jesus ‘Eddie’ Campa

E9-1-1 is NOT just a box . . .
E911 is often confused as an application.
It is actually a solution in the true sense of the word.
Many partners offer products for E9-1-1, and
methodologies widely differ. Before you can decide
on a solution, you need to understand E911.
Most customers cannot articulate what their actual
needs are, causing them to:
! Under Spec
! Over Buy
! Pick the Wrong Technology
! This leads to Poor CSAT
