Advantages and Disadvantages
Advantages:
• unity and camaraderie of a team
• learning to work as a group to achieve one common goal
• playing in front of large groups, creating unity in a
community or city
• building relationships
• learning that life, like sports isn’t fair
• learning discipline
Advantages and Disadvantages
Disadvantages:
• Team sports have a higher rate of injury, particularly
serious injuries.
• The team is only as strong as their weakest individual,
meaning there is an expectation of a certain level of
ability.
• Team’s success is dependent upon every person pulling
their weight, so if one player isn’t working toward the
team goal, the team suffers.
