THE BOOK OF JUDE
LESSON TWELVE – DON’T LEAVE YOUR FIRST
ESTATE

I. THEIR FIRST ESTATE WAS PERFECT
 Many of them are known to travel to and
from earth
 Some of them appear to be focused purely
on worship
 Others are described as ministering spirits
But I get the impression that all of them have
a place around the throne of God.

II. THEY WERE DRAWN FROM THEIR
FIRST ESTATE BY ANOTHER
• The same devil that deceived Eve drew a third
part of the “stars of heaven” and cast them to the
earth.
• The Bible says he was perfect in beauty and he
was perfect in all his ways.
• Don’t let anyone – no matter how perfect he or
she might appear to be – to draw you away from
your first estate.

III. THE CONSEQUENCES OF LEAVING
THEIR FIRST ESTATE WAS TERRIBLE
I have seen some would be growing Christians
become pretty miserable in their lives – all because
someone or something drew them away from the
place God put them
 To hear the Word of God
 To serve the Living God and
 To follow the teaching of God
