A 150-year old, Fortune 500 manufacturer of building materials, sells
through a chain of over 4000 company-operated stores. The company's
other brands are sold through home centers, dealers, hardware stores,
automotive retailers, and industrial distributors in over 115 countries. The
company wanted a unified supplier lifecycle management solution that
provided for all of their existing supplier network.
Approach
SwankTek proposed deployment of Oracle Supplier Hub, Supplier Lifecycle
Management and iSupplier Portal in the client’s instance of Oracle EBS. This will
ensure tighter integration and easier exchange of data across the enterprise.
Solution
SwankTek deployed Oracle MDM with Supplier Lifecycle Management (SLM), Oracle
Supplier Hub and iSupplier Portal in client’s instance of Oracle EBS covering over
140,000 suppliers. Project kick-off involved supply chain, compliance, accounting,,
governance, procurement, recipe systems, manufacturing and support teams.
The global deployment covered several thousand suppliers and distributors, creating
a consolidated view of supplier information and global spending and improved
management of supplier information using a single record of truth.
