Let’s start to think
Think ?
Think ?
Thinking ?
WHY SOME PEOPLE SAID “SILENCE IS GOLD” BUT
OTHER’S SAID “TALK ARE GOLD”
WHY SOME PEOPLE SAID THAT “COW IT’S A HOLLY CREATURE” BUT OTHER’S
SAID THAT “COW IT’S JUST A CATTLE”
WHY SOME PEOPLE SAID “MONEY IT’S AN HAPPINESS”
BUT OTHER’S SAID “MONEY IT’S NOT A TRUE HAPPINESS”
THE ANSWERS………
It all Depends on How the way you Look into the Reality
The reality of Silence, of Talking, The Holly Animal, A Cattle, Money or
Happiness.
The exact thing is the way you View the Reality were very Significant, it
became the Basic of How we Behave
For example
When we see the reality of “Money means Happiness” then don’t get shock
when we found our self spend almost half of our life to make Money……
though it’s dirty money
THE WAY OF VIEWING REALITY ?
The way of viewing Reality are something that we believe as
something Real, Usual, Acceptable also the Otherwise, or in other words
how we Interpret our world (physically or socially) and also how we
Response to it
This kind of Perspective we get it from the Culture we had adopted, that’s called
“Deep Structure of Culture”
Definitions;

Works, is what unifies a Culture, make each Custom/Culture looks unique, and
explain about “how” and ‘why” of a culture Collective Actions

The
Importance
Of Family
It’s the oldest and fundamental of all human
Institutions
A very effective means of providing social regulation
and continuity
“The family is the principal transmitter of knowledge,
values, attitudes, roles and habits from one
generation to the next. Through word and example,
the family shapes a child personality and instills
modes of thought and ways of acting that become
habitual (DeGenova & Rice)
- Familial patterns evolve over time, it is difficult to arrive at a
single of what constitutes a family
- In spite of family forms, most experts have agreed on general
definition that is broad enough to include polygamists, same sex
marriages, single parents, and unwed mothers
- Noller and Fitzpatrick, define family like this as “a group of
intimates who generates a sense of home and group identity,
compete with strong ties of loyalty and emotion, and an
experience of a history in the future
Definition Of Family
Forms of Family
Nuclear Families
- Typically identified as a parent or parents and a child or children
- Developed Countries
- In Child-rearing practices;
Less regimentation and less emphasis on obedience exploration
and creativity are encouraged
- Old members in nuclear families;
Spend their twilight years in retirement communities and nursing
homes instead of the homes of their children
Extended Family
- Typically include grand parents and relatives.
- Developing and undeveloped nations
- Insist on obedience and are more organizes around rules then are
nuclear families
Changing Families in the United Sates
Four factors;
Economic changes, Technological innovations, Demographics, Gender
roles and Opportunities for woman
Family Types;
Etc., - - - - - - - - -
A single parents
with two children
A Heterosexual woman
and man who have
cohabited for five
years, have one child
but have never married
Two Gay man who
have cohabited for
nine years and have
adopted two children
A single woman who
has adopted a child
from Korea
A divorce man who lives with
his mother and two of his
three children from prior
marriage
Two Lesbians in an intimate
relationship who each
brought a child in the
relationship from a previous
heterosexual marriage
Globalizations and Family
The catalysts for many of the worldwide shifts in family structure can be found in
globalizations.
Globalizations have altered the ideas of traditional families for millions of people
The two characteristic for globalization that have been responsible fro this changes are
Mass Media and Migrations.Mass Media
- Billions of people could connected through
satellite applications and wireless internet.
Etc.,
- Families in all parts of the globe are
seeing images that stress nudity than
modesty; anorexic thinness than health;
cars cloth and money instead of
spirituality; competitiveness than
cooperation …..
- Globalize media sources have created an
alternative set of values that are now
offered to families throughout the world
Families are struggling to blend
traditional patterns with the new ones
being thrust upon them by
globalizations. Families around the
world are richly varied
Migrations
- Globalization has created a world where
millions of workers leave their families and
move from one country to another to seek
jobs or higher wages
- Migrations has an impact on the social
lives of both the migrants and they families
leave behind
Eg; when father or mother migrates to
another country seeking work, the
entire dynamic of the family change
