10. EDUCATIONALTECHNOLOGY
sometimes shortened to EduTech or EdTech, is a wide field. Therefore, one
can find many definitions, some of which are conflicting. Educational
technology as practice refers to any form of teaching and learning that
makes use of technology.
13. TECHNOLOGY IS BOON
• Technology is a blessing for a man.
• With technology there is a lot that we can do which we could not do then.
• Technology contributes much to the improvement of the teaching-
learning process and to the humanization of life.
• With cellphones, web cams you will be closer to someone miles and
miles a way.
• Many human lives saved because of speedy notifications via cell phones
• Your teaching and learning can be more novel, stimulating, exciting
engaging with the use of multimedia in the classroom.
• With TV, you can watch events as they happen all over the globe.
14. TECHNOLOGY IS BANE
• When not used properly, technology becomes a detriment
to learning and development.
• The learner is made to accept as Gospel truth information
they get from the Internet .
• The learner surfs the Internet for pornography .
• The learner has a uncritical mind on images floating on
televisions and computers that represent modernity and
progress.
• The TV makes the learner a mere spectator not an active
participant in the drama of life.
15. • The learner gets glued to his computer for computer
assisted instruction unmindful of the world and so
fails to develop the ability to relate to others.
• We make use of the Internet to do character
assassination of people whom we hardly like.
• Because of our cell phone, we spend most of time in
the classroom or in workplace texting.
• We use overuse and abuse TV or film viewing as a
strategy to kill time.
18. The systematic approach views the entire educational
program as a system of a closely interrelated parts.
It is an orchestrated learning pattern with all parts
harmoniously integrated into the whole: the shool, the
teacher, the students, the objectives, the media, the
materials, and assessment tools and procedures. Such
an approach integrates the older more familiar
methods and tools of instruction with the new one’s
such as the computer.
19. The focus of systematic instructional
planning is the student.
It tells about the systematic approach to
teaching in which the focus in the
teaching is the student.
22. CONSTRUCTIVISM
Is basically a theory- based on observation and scientific
study about how people learn.
It says that the people construct their own understanding
and knowledge of the world through experiencing things
and reflecting on those experiences.
When we encounter something new we have to reconcile it
with previous ideas and experience, maybe changing what
we believe, or maybe discarding the new information as
irrelevant.
23. GENERATIVE LEARNING
Involves the active integration of new
ideas with the learners existing schemata.
The main of generative learning is that in
order to learn with understanding a
learners has to construct meaning
actively.
24. MEANINGFUL LEARNING
Refers to the concept that the learned knowledge ( let
say a fact) is fully understood by the individual and
that the individual knows how that specific fact relates
the other stored facts.
25. DISCOVERY LEARNING
Is an inquiry- based constructivist learning theory
that takes place in problem- solving situations
where the learner draws on his or her own past
experience and existing knowledge to discover
facts and relationships and new truths to be
learned.
30. “THE CONE IS A VISUALANALOGY, AND LIKE ALLANALOGIES, IT DOES NOT
BEAR AN EXACT AND DETAILED RELATIONSHIP INTO THE COMPLEX
ELEMENTS IT REPRESENT”
–EDGAR DALE
Cone of experience is a guide in giving a task to the
learners that they need to experience.
But it is not mean teaching and learning move
systematically from base to pinnacle ,we begin to the
experience that most appropriate in learning.
32. o Technology help us to search information
that we need in studying cause in our
generation technology is informational
tools of different sector, in education the
technology use by the teacher to their
educational materials to be a affective
teacher.
o Technology can play a traditional role as
delivery vehicles for traditional lesson or in
a constructivist way as partners to the
learner learns from the technology and the
technology serves as a learner.
33. LEARNING THROUGH ED. TECH II
Learning Ed. Tech, for us it is a privilege to
explore the computer and the internet,
because technology is made for the task to
make it easy and simple. Ed. Tech also
encourage us to upgrade our skills in terms
of technology to enjoy it, and apply it to our
teaching.
35. They areindividuals that can usetechnologies in goodway tohavea better learning.
The21st century learners areable to apply technology to their lives effectively, in a way they
can use it to learn better. They know what is the importance of educational technology.
Theyknow what is the purpose of the educational technology, make instructional material
that is connected to a particular topic, know the right way of using technology, know the
limitations of using technology.
Michelle Anne D. Magdalita
36. The students after Ed tech 2,They are individuals that can
use technologies in good way to have a better learning. Today the
students are called 21st century learners and we are among this century.
When we say 21st century learners we are living in the world using
technology in our every life. We studied about Educational Technology 1
and 2, therefore we know how to use it in a good way, because in 21st
century learners we are able to; know what is the purpose of educational
technology, apply to our lives effectively, in a way we can use it to learn
better, and know what is the importance of educational technology,
because as a future teacher we make an instructional material that is
connected to our topic, that’s why we study about EDUCATIONAL
TECHNOLOGY.
Jay T. Francisco
37. We must bear this in mind that studying EDTC 2 is a significant
thing most especially to us future teachers. What we learned is
that we can apply this in our field and the skills that we develop
particularly computer skill which enhances the teaching and
learning through technology integration contributes to our quality
in becoming globally competitive teachers.
Nora Fe A. Salatin
38. Since EDTC 2 has something to do with our computer skills, it must be
clear to everyone that computers cannot replace the teachers. No
matter what modern technology we have, “Teachers are teachers”.
Computers are devices/things that need the assistance/manipulation of
Teachers (Human). Teachers must continue the role of information
deliverer and learning environment controller. That’s why we as future
teachers we must be knowledgeable and skilled enough to use these
technologies, as much as possible we must explore and attend trainings
and seminars upon using these technologies because these will just be
non-sense and useless if we can’t use these technologies efficiently
and effectively.
Rusna Alibase
39. After study the Ed.TechI have more knowledge about
technology, which I can apply in my technology task like
doinga power point, and making a tarpapel. And I am
still exploring myself in using the technology so that
when time comes I can apply it to my teaching profession
for the student whowill engage their selves in our lesson.
Samson Q. Dubria Jr.
40. GENERAL REFLECTION
Educational technology is helping the student learning and upgrade the knowledge of
the student about to the subject matter, and to make a learning of the student easy and
enjoyable. Educational technology, now a days, is needed to explain and teach to the
different learner effectively, because our world is upgrading so that every learner
should be engage themselves to the technology for they can leave with technology.
