– There are 3.600 microcredit institutions
around the world
– More than 190 million clients (82% women)
– European Union
β€’ 84 million Europeans live at risk of poverty
β€’ 17% of EU27 citizens are social excluded

poverty and exclusion

– Microcredit can be a tool for social and
financial inclusion as it helps to prevent and
redress all the areas of exclusion
