clear your mind, reduce stress, and stay active.
Plus, it can be done almost anywhere! Take a
break from your desk at work and walk around
the parking lot, or even up and down the hall! Or
a walk after dinner with the family is a great way
to bond, while burning off extra calories.
Dancing can really get the heart rate up, and the

gym has a dance aerobics class. Or then again,
maybe you might just like to crank up the radio
and get your groove on in your kitchen!
Playing with your kids (outside, if you can) is a
great way to not only get physical activity for
yourself, but to also encourage your kids to stay
active and enjoy some quality time with the
family. Take some time after school or before
dinner to go outside, rough house, skip, race, or

Yoga builds strength, flexibility, and mental
focus... it's an allaround great activity for overall

commuting to work via bike once or twice a

money on gas!
Tag, hide and seek, kickball, group sports...relive
your childhood on the weekend and play some
games you enjoyed as a kid! Teach your kids or
nieces or nephews some of the games you
played when you were their age, or round up
some friends and get a little silly. Childhood
games are a great way to stay active AND stay
young at heart.
Remember... staying active is not just about
losing weight, but also about enjoying life with
the people you care about. In a world where
personal interaction is becoming less frequent,
make some time to get together with loved ones,
turn off the TVs, and be together. Have a
cookout, go to the community pool, play games...
get together, get active, and have fun doing it!
