1. Types of Plants

2. Deciduous
Shedding the leaves on a yearly
basis.
Example: Trees and srubs that
are not evergreens.

3. Perennial
Comes back every year.
Example: Dahlia

4. Annual
Lives for one year then dies.
Example: Sunflowers, tomatoes, beans,
ect.

5. Conifer
Stays green all year and has seeds and
pollen in cone like structure.
Example: Giant Sequoias

6. Stigma
The part of the pistol that receives the
pollen.
Bees land and transfer the pollen.

7. Stamen
Pollen bearing organ of a flower.

8. Anther
Pollen bearing part of the stamen

9. Pollen
Fertilizing element in
flowering plants.
Insects transfer pollen from
plant to plant.
EXAMPLE:

10. Ovary
The enlarged lower part of the pistol in
female plants enclosing the ovules or
seeds.

11. Petal
One of the often colored segments of the
corolla of a flower.
