Mike Gotta is a Research VP covering social networks and collaboration. Mike has 30 years of experience in the IT industry. Prior to re-joining Gartner, Mike held a variety of analyst positions at Burton Group (acquired by Gartner in 2010) and Meta Group. Mike is pursuing a Masters in Media Studies at the New School and maintains an active research agenda on trends related to social networks, social analytics, identity, participatory culture, and collaboration.
