2. Positions:
My first position was an IT Technician in Galaxy Integrated Solutions which is
technical support company that provides so many different services, starting from
hardware maintenance services such as Time Material Jobs, AMC(Annual Maintenance
Contracts) and professional services such as configuring and installing servers for
datacenters or the like. It also provides training centers for so many courses that related
to the field. Later, I took the responsibility of (IT Manager). My role was planning,
presenting and providing the suitable IT solutions for clients and also assigning tasks
for other technicians and monitoring the projects progress and overall managing the
running projects beside supporting the technical aspects of the running projects. All my
reports were directed to the General Manager so that extra decisions will be taken from
the General Manager according to the reports that am providing.
=>Technician:
I was able to get a job based on the skills and certifications on the resume which
qualified me enough to get this position from the first interview, resulting in good
experience in System Administration and Database administration for more than three
years. I was involved in so many projects and I completed all the tasks in a professional
way. This resume shows so many technical tasks I can perform perfectly (Page No
4,5,6). I'm licensed as RHCE(RedHat Certified Engineer) from Red Hat Company. as
well as Sun System Administration from Sun Microsystems, in addition to my skills in
Shell Scripting and Oracle database administration and Networking. so hiring me as
a technician is also preferred, regardless of my current position.
=> IT Manager:
As the label of the position implies, the responsibilities and tasks are heavy, so I do
believe that the client or customer satisfaction is the key success of any technical
support company, hence the initial planning, information gathering, task distribution,
requirements determination and deadline for a particular project are very heavy tasks
and require caution, because losing any of the customer or taking incorrect decisions
absolutely will lead to failure in the project and eventually lead to bad reputation, I
consider the definition of Reputation from technical support company perspective, is
the $COIN$ that reflects the quality of the company among so many other technical
support competitive companies, so I was playing another role which is keeping the
company at highest level of technical support services and I was succeeded to take this
responsibility for more than two years.

3. Projects and experience:
I was instructor for different courses such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux in INDIA
during 2008 - 2011, and I was also instructor for the same course in KSE(Khartoum
Stock Exchange) 2012, as well as instructor for SUN Solaris10 in PTC(Petroleum
Training Center) 2013. I planned and implemented different projects such as
ONB(Omdurman National Bank) project which contains configuration and
installation of local webhosting service under Red Hat Enterprise Linux. The project is
completed successfully [http://www.onb.com.sd]. I also configured and installed a
redundant (clustered) storage based on Linux solution to produce high availability of
data and protection. I coded the software that provides the administration and monitor
interfaces to control and manage the storage cluster environment easily, the software is
coded based on Shell Scripts & PHP. The software is coded and tested well to be
released as a reliable tool for managing and monitoring the DISK CLUSTERING
based on DRBD (Distributed Replicated Block Device) and I consider it as helpful
administration tool to do the task easily, so my skills in Linux and UNIX binaries and
shell scripting is very high. My knowledge does not confined within *nix
administration, rather it also combines different language programming skills and
networking skills such as IP Addressing , Subnetting and Routing, beside my
experience in Oracle database engine.
=> Recent Project 2014:
I implemented FIB(Faisal Islamic Bank Sudan) Disaster Recovery Site Project, it
was based on Oracle 11g R2 and Oracle Enterprise Linux 5 & 6 as database engine
and operating system respectively. The S-DRM was involved with the project to
reduce the time and complexity of configuring and administering the DR SITES. The
following tasks have been accomplished and verified successfully before signing the
completion of the project.
 Backup the primary site before starting to use the S-DRM.
 Creating a standby database using the S-DRM for the branch.
 Checking the switchover process using S-DRM for that branch.
 Insure the remote applications can be connected to the standby site.
 Check the applied archives.
 Activating the backup for corresponding standby database using S-DRM.
 Verify the backup by restoring and recovering into a test environment.
 Verify the applied archive remover at both sites.
 Check the S-DRM monitor interfaces (Graphical + Text Monitor).

4. Registered Patent:
S-DRM (Standby And Database Recovery Management):
I coded a collection of shell script programs that creates and configure Oracle
Standby Database as well as monitoring the Data Guard, all together are named S-
DRM. The software also provides good management utilities starting from backing
up the secondary databases periodically without user intervention, and it include
different daemons and intuitive interfaces to help the administrators to do some
administration tasks easily. S-DRM can be used for distributed as well as centralized
databases. The software is developed and coded well to produce disaster recovery
area for different standby databases on the same machine, this absolutely facilitates
the process of configuring the physical standby databases and also for monitoring
multiple standby databases at the same time, it also provide a great monitor interface
for DBA which reflects all the changes between the primary and standby sites,
resulting in reducing the complexity of Oracle Data Guard because S-DRM works as
an interface between the DBA and Data Guard. The software passed all required
testing phases and now running in FIB (Faisal Islamic Bank Sudan) production
environment and am planning to upload it as Open Source to allow another
programmers to around the globe contribute the development and support.
=> What am able to do?
