2. The magazine will have content on
a lot of artists some mainstream
and some local (late last night and
the subways are less known bands
of this genre that are from
Hertfordshire) . It will focus on live
performances and music events,
ranging from festivals and
concerts to local small gigs.
Introduction
3. Popular music magazines that are also sold in local shops around Hertfordshire that are Under The Radar, Mojo and
Q.
Competition
4. Target Audience
The target audience for my magazine are young
people ages 16- 30 who enjoy live music events
such as concerts, festivals and local gigs.
There is also a secondary audience of older
generations over the age of 30 that enjoy this
genre of music and live music events.
5. Content
The front cover will showcase a photo of a famous or local artist/band from the
indie rock genre that is featuring in the magazine. The reason there won't always be
a 'famous' artist on the front cover is to help promote local aspiring artists as it will
be sold and be available to locals. The cover will also include the name of the
magazine in the top right-hand corner as well as the featuring artists name in their
style of font and cover lines for articles.
It will also include information on how to buy tickets to upcoming events and local
gigs that are happening in the local area that month. There will also be a monthly
competition in each issue for tickets to music events to help readers feel included
6. Colour scheme
The colour scheme of the magazine is a black background
with any writing in white to make the articles and any
photos of performers and performances stand out.
7. Distribution and marketing
A new issue of the magazine released monthly.
Posters in local shop windows.
Handouts at music events.
Selling magazines at music events.
Social media suited to both target audiences.
