✘ Example 1 : A racehorse travels at an average speed of 12 m/s
for 30 s . What distance does it cover ?
Distance travelled = average speed × time taken
Distance travelled = 12 m/s × 30 s = 360 m

minutes . What distance does it cover?
Distance travelled = average speed × time taken
Distance travelled = 15 km/h × 0.5 h = 7.5 km
