Definition of Corporate Social
Responsibility
CSR means that a corporation should be held accountable for any of its
actions that affect people, their communities, and their environment”
(Lawrence, Weber, and Post, 2005)
The key to operationalizing the strategic role of business in contributing
towards this sustainable development process, so that business is able to
engage in and contribute to society as a corporate citizen (Warhurst,
2001).
The commitment of business to minimize its negative impacts and
maximize its positive contribution to all stakeholders in connection in
economic, social, and environment aspects to achieve sustainable
development (Indonesia Business Link, 2001).

Tanggung jawab sosial ditujukan
bagi owner dan manajemen.
Caranya, menggunakan sumber
daya perusahaan seefisien mungkin
dan maksimalisasi laba
perusahaan.
Perusahaan sudah mulai mengembangkan tanggung jawab
sosial untuk karyawan. Caranya, ada upaya upaya
maksimalisasi laba perusahaan, dan pada saat yang sama
memberi perhatian besar kepada sumber daya manusia.

Responsibility
Corporate social responsibility (CSR, also called corporate
conscience, corporate citizenship or responsible business) is a form
of corporate self-regulation integrated into a business model. CSR policy
functions as a self-regulatory mechanism whereby a business monitors
and ensures its active compliance with the spirit of the law, ethical
standards and national or international norms.
CSR as "A company’s sense of responsibility towards the community and
environment (both ecological and social) in which it operates. Companies
express this citizenship (1) through their waste and pollution reduction
processes, (2) by contributing educational and social programs and (3)
by earning adequate returns on the employed resources (Business
Dictionary).

they are to realize fully the returns that CSR promises. Here are seven

Definition of Corporate Social Responsibility CSR means that a corporation should be held accountable for any of its actions that affect people, their communities, and their environment” (Lawrence, Weber, and Post, 2005) The key to operationalizing the strategic role of business in contributing towards this sustainable development process, so that business is able to engage in and contribute to society as a corporate citizen (Warhurst, 2001). The commitment of business to minimize its negative impacts and maximize its positive contribution to all stakeholders in connection in economic, social, and environment aspects to achieve sustainable development (Indonesia Business Link, 2001).

Corporate Value and Corporate Social Responsibility Corporate social responsibility (CSR, also called corporate conscience, corporate citizenship or responsible business) is a form of corporate self-regulation integrated into a business model. CSR policy functions as a self-regulatory mechanism whereby a business monitors and ensures its active compliance with the spirit of the law, ethical standards and national or international norms. CSR as "A company’s sense of responsibility towards the community and environment (both ecological and social) in which it operates. Companies express this citizenship (1) through their waste and pollution reduction processes, (2) by contributing educational and social programs and (3) by earning adequate returns on the employed resources (Business Dictionary).
