Delights and Desires
The Bible says:
“Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart’s
desires” (Psalm 37:4 NLT).
Think on this:
How do you take delight—show your joy—in the Lord? You
do this by taking time to get to know Him through reading
His Word, and through allowing His peace to fill your
mind and heart. You take delight in Jesus by talking to Him
and looking to Him for guidance. When you express your
happiness in Jesus, your desires become parallel with His,
and you find yourself wanting to please Him as best you can.
There are many ways to “delight in the Lord,” and you
will find that, when the time is right, He is more than ready
to fulfill His promise to give you the desires of your
heart in return!
