for the Day
No Limit
The Bible says:
He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name. Great is
our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit (Psalm 147:4–5 NIV).
Think on this:
It is said that there is an average of 100 billion stars per galaxy, and
that there are 10 billion observable galaxies in the universe.1
If that
number is accurate, then that would mean there are about 1 billion trillion
observable stars. Imagine God deciding on each one of these stars, as
well as giving each one a name.
If He identifies each star in such an individual way, imagine how personally
He knows you. If He cares enough to name each and every star, imagine
how much time He puts into caring for you. You are very important to Him,
so important that even the hairs on your head are numbered.2
So whenever you are feeling alone and forgotten, remember just how
much you stand out to God. There is no limit to the love and understanding
He has for you.
