► Climate change affects all sectors of the economy and a multi-sectoral,
well-coordinated mechanism in achieving adaptation targets.
► Ministry of Green Economy & Environment is the lead institution in
overseeing the implementation of the policy
► Climate change coordination in Zambia is organized in three tiers which are
the Council of Ministers, Steering Committee of Permanent Secretaries
and the Technical Committee.

programs in the country
2. Steering Committee of Permanent Secretary
▪ main advisory body to the CoM on policy and programme
coordination and implementation

► Comprise of Permanent Secretaries from line Ministries including
Local Government
3. Technical Committee (TC)
⮚ provides technical advice to the Steering Committee of Permanent
Secretaries
