- Federal Agencies: CPSC – Flammability (clothing), mattress pads, children’s products, hazardous substances (chemicals, lead consumer products, toys, use and abuse testing for children’s products, sharp points) DOT – Transportation for fuels, Li-ion batteries FTC – Labeling requirements on packaging, misleading statements (antimicrobial, UPF, size and quatity) FCC – Interference from electrical equipment (electronic circuits and motors) FDA – Food contact materials, sunglasses, first aid products, medical claims USCG – Life jackets, boat HIN numbers EPA – Pesticides, mosquito repellent products DOE – Battery charger efficiency and registration OSHA – Products used in the work place such as batteries, power packs.
