When Do I Enter the CPC Program?
• If you recertified by July 31st of 2016 (Even Year)
– You were entered in the Continued Professional
Certification Program on August 1st 2016
– Your recertification is good through July 31st of 2020
• If you recertify by July 31st of 2017 (Odd Year)
– You will be entered in the Continued Professional
Certification Program on August 1st 2017
– Your recertification will be good through July 31st of 2021

Assessed CE
• 60 Class A credits during each 4-year CPC cycle

How Do I Document Class B Requirements?
• Yes.
• Class A if it meets assessed CE criteria…..

What is the Purpose of the 2 Year “Check-in?”
• Verification of licensure and active practice every 2 years is a
requirement of other regulatory bodies like State Boards of
Nursing, NBCRNA accreditors and local facilities.
• At the 2-Year Check-in you will:
– Validate your continued state licensure
– Confirm continuing active practice
– Update your contact information
– Pay the CPC Program fee
– Review your progress towards CPC Program compliance
CORE MODULES
WHAT ARE CORE MODULES?
Core Modules are continuing education activities that
provide a consistent structure and assessment standard
for nurse anesthetists to stay abreast of evolving
evidence-based knowledge in four important domains of
anesthesia care.

All About the CPC Core Modules
• A way to deliver up-to-date evidence based information
• Voluntary for first 4-year cycle
• Can be applied to Class A credit requirements
• Can be computer-based or in person meeting
• Covers 4 core domains of nurse anesthesia practice:
o Airway management techniques
o Applied clinical pharmacology
o Human physiology and pathophysiology
o Anesthesia technology and equipment
